Buckeye Power Sales (“BPS”), based in Columbus, Ohio has acquired Doebler Brothers, Inc. (“Doebler”), a Middletown, Ohio Company. Since 1935, Doebler has been a family-held outdoor power equipment dealership. Footprint Capital, LLC (“Footprint”) acted as the exclusive buy-side advisor, which included upfront strategy, locating prospective targets, and guiding BPS through the entire process.
Presently in its third generation, BPS has been a family-held company for more than 70 years. With a history of organic growth across 8 locations, BPS desired expansion of its territory and product offering by way of acquisition. Doebler shared BPS’ product offering and customer-driven approach, as well as complemented BPS’ existing dealership in Moraine, Ohio. This transaction allowed owners, Bill Doebler and Jerry Colburn, to retire from Doebler and to know that BPS would be a good steward of the business and would show caring to employees, customers, and vendors.
